Exhibition opening with KATango improvisations!
Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 6 p.m
A special exhibition called Lights and shapes opens in the Harmónia Palace. The sculptures of industrial artist Zsuzsanna Szűcs are brought to life by the special interior lights of the Bókay courtyard of the historic building. Art historian Ildikó D. Udvary will present the suspended sculptures and open the exhibition. The violinist Katalin Bartha will participate, from whom we will hear KATango improvisations during the evening.
INSIGHT INTO THE EXHIBITION
An exhibition of the hanging sculptures of industrial artist Zsuzsanna Szűcs opens in the Bókay yard. The ceramic sculptures are made using the techniques of the craft tradition and mark the evolution of design object making. Nowadays, the communication system between the work and its creator, as well as the receiving audience, has been completely transformed.
Visual perception, the sight plays a primary big role in our time. The digital perception of art exhibitions communicates with the receptive viewer. Industrial artist Zsuzsanna Szűcs is looking for common points of connection and public platforms for this phenomenon.
Here, we can see the new endeavors of ceramic art, which, based on the respect of traditions, can be seen in a real, original way until September 30, 2023 in the imposing inner courtyard of the Palace of Harmony.
The implementation of the tradition and vision of the applied arts professional program in 2023 was supported by the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
We welcome all interested parties!
